Be an “eco-tourist” on this longer, 2 hour SUNSET solar boat cruise of Charlottetown Harbour! Our 34-passenger solar-electric vessel features a kitchen, comfy booth seating, Wi-Fi, a licensed bar, and a large lavatory. The last remaining boat from the famous 1967 Montreal Expo (World’s Fair), this 59-year-old Canadian Heritage Vessel underwent an 8-year rebuild to become North America’s LARGEST solar boat—and the ONLY solar-powered dinner-cruise boat in the world.

Not just a tour—make it a dinner cruise by adding fresh PEI lobster or braised 1/4 chicken with Caesar salad (house-made dressing) and a fresh dinner roll 7days/wk or 4 course surf & turf upgrade on Fri/Sat. Drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) are available for purchase onboard. With solar power, there’s no engine noise and no diesel smell—and every cruise features live Maritime music for the ultimate East Coast vibe.

Friday & Saturday 4-Course Dinner: Start with a bowl of steamed PEI blue mussels & fresh roll, followed by Caesar salad with house made dressing, then “Surf & Turf” local rib eye and PEI lobster for your main (Double lobster or double rib eye available upon request). Finished with fresh-made cheesecakes or pie with coffee/tea. Vegetarian options available.

Departures: 9:30AM, 12:00 PM & 2:30 PM (daily) and 5:00 PM (Sun–Thurs). Sunset cruises: 6PM May – Aug & 5PM Sept/Oct. Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior for boarding.

Things to Know Before You Go!

  • Food on the solar boat must be ordered at least 24 hrs in advance of your tour time. Food purchased with your tour tickets within 24 hrs of your tour time may not be available & will be refunded.

  • SEATING IS COZY. We have 3 tables for 6 and 4 tables for 4. As a couple, you will be seated with other couples, so you may feel most comfortable if you book in groups of 4 or 6 as you will likely have the table to yourselves

  • Departure time for the sunset cruises are 6PM May-Aug & 5PM Sept/Oct.

  • Check your confirmation email to ensure the correct departure time

  • Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the departure time to ensure sufficient time for boarding, to get food & drinks & for safety briefing

  • Confirmation will be received at the time of booking

  • This cruise is gentle, slow and only in the immediate Charlottetown Harbour sheltered waters

  • Children <6 yrs may come at no charge, but must sit on laps if there are no seats available

  • Food and beverages are not included with seat ticket, but are available for purchase

  • No outside food or drink is permitted

  • Not wheelchair accessible

  • The maximum capacity for the solar boat is 34 people

  • Cruises operate rain or shine but may be canceled if it is too windy. In the event of a cancellation, you will be notified to rebook or given a full refund – your choice

*Cancel at least 7 days before your tour for a full refund. Unfortunately, cancellations within 7 days of your tour are NON-REFUNDABLE. If the weather is too bad to go out, you will be given the choice to still come for a “docked tour” at a reduced price and enjoy our presentation & have great food on the water, rebook, OR receive a full refund – your choice.
