Overview

Enjoy the sounds of the lapping water and gentle music while eating a delicious 4-course dinner on this 2-hour cruise of the Charlottetown Harbour. Our solar-electric vessel is complete with booth seating, a licensed bar and a lavatory. Originally a “Vaporetto” from the famous 1967 Montreal Expo, this 58 yr old Canadian Heritage Vessel has been completely rebuilt & retrofitted to become North America’s LARGEST solar-powered boat. Tours are better with food & drink, no noise & no diesel smell!

  • Friday & Saturday nights are special with this 33% longer, 2 hr, sunset cruise (compared to our Sun – Thurs 5PM 90 min cruise) with a full-on 4 course meal & sometimes live acoustic guitar with Justyn, our “singing server”!
  • Spend a memorable evening cruising along the Charlottetown harbour with some historical tour commentary on PEI & the history of North America’s LARGEST solar-powered boat – a CDN Heritage Vessel from the 1967 Montreal Expo
  • Enjoy soft music, sunset views and a fully licensed bar.
  • Admire the green spaces, red soil, and rolling hills that make up PEI’s south shore
  • Enjoy a delicious 4-course dinner made from locally sourced ingredients. Start with a bowl of steamed PEI blue mussels & fresh roll, followed by Caesar salad with house made dressing and then “Surf & Turf” local rib eye and PEI lobster for your main (Double lobster or double rib eye available upon request).
  • Followed by a variety of fresh-made cheesecakes or pie with coffee/tea, our chef has been receiving standing ovations after our dinner service! A vegetarian option is also available upon request. Please view the dinner menu.

Departure times for the afternoon/evening cruises are 12:00 pm & 2:30 pm 7 days/wk & 5pm Sun – Thurs. Check your confirmation email to ensure the correct departure time. Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the departure time to ensure sufficient time for boarding.

*HST & $15 (13%) service fee (gratuity) will be added. 100% of our service fee goes right to our hard-working captain, servers, & guides who ensure you have a wonderful experience on our tours. Our steaks are cooked medium rare. Vegetarian option upon request. Please e-mail us if you would like double lobster or double rib eye or a vegetarian meal instead of surf & turf.

Things to Know Before You Go!

  • Food on the solar boat must be ordered at least 24 hrs in advance of your tour time. Food purchased with your tour tickets within 24 hrs of your tour time may not be available & will be refunded.

  • SEATING IS COZY. We have 3 tables for 6 and 4 tables for 4. As a couple, you will be seated with other couples, so you may feel most comfortable if you book in groups of 4 or 6 as you will likely have the table to yourselves

  • Departure time for the afternoon cruises are 12:00PM & 2:30 PM 7 days/wk. Departure time for the evening cruises are 5PM Sun-Thurs.

  • Check your confirmation email to ensure the correct departure time

  • Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the departure time to ensure sufficient time for boarding, to get food & drinks & for safety briefing

  • Confirmation will be received at the time of booking

  • This cruise is gentle, slow and only in the immediate Charlottetown Harbour sheltered waters

  • Children <5 yrs may come at no charge, but must sit on laps if there are no seats available

  • Food and beverages are not included with seat ticket, but are available for purchase

  • No outside food or drink is permitted

  • Not wheelchair accessible

  • The maximum capacity for the solar boat is 34 people

  • Cruises operate rain or shine but may be canceled if it is too windy. In the event of a cancellation, you will be notified to rebook or given a full refund – your choice

*Cancel at least 7 days before your tour for a full refund. Unfortunately, cancellations within 7 days of your tour are NON-REFUNDABLE. If the weather is too bad to go out, you will be given the choice to still come for a “docked tour” at a reduced price and enjoy our presentation & have great food on the water, rebook, OR receive a full refund – your choice.
